Snorkeling in the Belize Keys

0.0/5 rating (0 votes)

Picture sailing through the wide open ocean for hours and arriving at an isolated tropical paradise.  The Sapodilla Keys Marine Park Reserve, a protected reef and chain of small islands off the coast of southern Belize, is a special area well worth the trip.  Unrivaled snorkeling and scuba diving abounds, as the reef is practically untouched and rarely visited, and the small, deserted islands are the perfect place to spend a romantic night under the stars.

One- and two-day trips are available.   There are many local companies that offer trips to the Belize Keys.  Check out Exotic Travel or Izabal Travel for specials.  Expect to pay $50 to $150 for the trip, plus tips.  Transportation, equipment, and a competent, bilingual guide should be included.
