Salvador Gaviota

Salvador Gaviota

Salvador Gaviota is a private beach which is part of the Salvador Gaviota hotel and by far the best beach in Livingston.  The white sand beach has a large pier with a little thatched roof full of hammocks at the end, perfect for wiling away an afternoon with a beer in your hand.  There is a full-service restaurant and clean bathrooms on site, along with several lounge chairs to soak up the sun (but be wary of the strong UV rays).

Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca

About a 30 minute boat ride from Livingston, Playa Blanca is one of the area’s nicest beachs, (entrance $1.50), with a pretty stretch of white sand and palm trees along a tranquil stretch of the Caribbean Sea.  While you may find it to be your own private beach, it’s becoming increasingly popular as a day trip from Livingston. There are bathrooms and showers here but there is no restaurant so you have to bring your own food.
